The one in the photo never grew any new leaves and so eventually died. The roots had always looked OK. I have a keiki of it in a different area with brighter light (now even brighter as I added full spectrum LED lights a few months ago). This one is growing slowly but surely. I suspect the original one just wanted brighter light. If you can, I would try that with yours.

That's what I thought too. But I've come to realise that as a windowsill grower it's easy to over estimate how much light they are getting. It's a west-facing windowsill but everything is doing better with the lights. My Sarcochilus hartmannii that I'd understood liked shade is now coming into flower for the first time (had since 2020, was FS even then). The Restrepia never had problems flowering though.

Absolutely! I just go with what the plants tell me but a light meter would be a good idea.

Hope your Restrepia pulls through. They are great orchids.

I really do. It came in a single pot of 3 keikis, but with all of them having 1 growth each. The most developed one looks like it has something black inside, so thats what im afraid of.

Well that doesn't sound great but it might hang in there. Fingers crossed!
