Miltoniopsis Sunglow 'Amazing' rescue Female
Default Miltoniopsis Sunglow 'Amazing' rescue

Hi ALL,

I received Miltoniopsis Sunglow 'Amazing' along with my other orchids online order, leaves start falling within two days and I saw brown rot in the couple of pseudobulbs, so I decided to repot it and when I actually unpot it there was only one old pseudobulb (no leaves) was in good shape with some roots , others were already rotten, so I repot it in bark. I am curious what are the chances that it will survive and what else need to do to increase the survive chance. Is anyone has rescue experience with only one old bulb.

Thanks.

Doesn't sound good... if you get new growth (which will produce new roots) the odds are much better. In the future... if you see something like this on a newly-acquired plant, you need to reach out to the vendor right away - with photos - rather than trying to rescue it. The plant was sick before they sent it, and you should receive a refund in that situation. A reputable vendor, who wants your repeat business, will try to make it right either with a refund or a replacement. If the vendor doesn't respond to your satisfaction, you should take your business elsewhere!

Thanks Roberta.

Yes I thought to contact Vendor, but this was my second order from them and all of other orchids were in very good shape and they have very reasonable priced and also very nicely packaged, so I was little bit not feeling fair to complaint about this orchid

Thanks.

Miltoniopsis are cool growing orchids. It may have sustained heat damage in transit.
