From what I can see in the picture, they’ll be fine like that. The roots may be exposed but they’ll still absorb moisture. And some sunburnt leaves will even stay viable for a long time. They’ll just look ugly to continuously remind you of what you did for a long time. Mine still have sunburnt leaves from last year to tell all about my sins.
Icarus on this forum has some great videos on cattleyas on YouTube by the name Stephen Van Kampen-Lewis. You should give them a watch for some great advice on cattleya care.
