Should this cattleya seedling be repotted? Female
Question Should this cattleya seedling be repotted?

Hi all,
I purchased this seedling from my OS 2 months ago. I have not repotted it. It has grown quite a bit since I got it.. Is there a better option for potting it? Or should I just keep it as is? If so, how will I know when to repot it? Thank you!!

Unless the mix is broken down (it looks fresh though I would not use sphagnum with a Catt, so let it dry a bit more than you would a Phal) . It also looks like it is potted a bit too deep. But I don't see anything that would constitute an emergency. When it is actively rooting, and climbing out of the pot would be time to repot. Maybe next spring. Let it grow. Patience! 2 months is nothing in the life of an orchid. Especially with Catts... when they need repotting they frequently will tell you. (Take a look around the Root Porn thread in the Advanced sub-forum)
