I have called Hausermann's in the past and they are always very nice. I would recommend calling if you have any questions.

Now that I think about it, I think lousy vendors - and I’m not limiting that to orchid vendors - have taught the public not to expect much.

Folks are always surprised when I’m willing to talk to them for 30-60 minutes or more about their growing efforts.

These quality vendors can also advise about bloom times if you're seeking to brighten up the winter. They know their stock, and can help you on specific needs there too. Something that's fairly impossible to determine just from looking up parentage, since hybrids can favor one parent or the other (which can also be complex on a hybrid) or bloom twice or more, the people who know the plants will know their habits.

Look here on Orchid Board for people growing in areas near you, or with similar climates. You can look at the photos they post of their plants and see when they flower.

Sunset Valley Orchids just announced their spring Cattleya "drop" . Sunset Valley Orchids - Superior Hybrids for Orchid Enthusiasts

4 days of advance sale before the list goes up on the website.

These go fast, they will hold plants for you if weather is not suitable for shipping, supply heat packs and insulation.
