Hi all

posting for first time.

would anyone know what the attached growth is in my orchid. initially I thought it was a stem but then other stems grew. this part just remains the same. what am I to do with it?

First, Welcome!

It could be a spike that just didn't develop. You don't have to do anything "with it" - just leave it. It will develop or it won't... you will learn a lot just by observing your plants. Orchids teach patience... they don't do anything fast, progress is measured in weeks or months, not days.

It looks like a bent-over trapped spike. It happens. As Roberta says, let it alone, it will develope or not. The plant looks very good.
