Some of my L. pururatas are beasts! And indeed, Den. speciosum can have some rather huge p-bulbs, especially the grandiflora and hillii forms. Cymbidium madidum. Den. spectabile. Most of the Gramatophyllums.

Orchids with large pseudobulbs

The competition is fierce but I think lycaste has the best looking pbulbs. They look plastic and resist scarring. They also have evil spines at the top after shedding leaves. My Lycaste cruenta has baseball sized pbulbs

Same family, Anguloa brevilabris has big pseudobulbs (topped with those vicious spines when leaves drop) A beast, for sure.
