Hausermann's answer on tightly packed sphagnum moss Male

Bulbophyllums have very different roots from Phalaenopsis. Bulbo roots are short and very small in diameter. They prefer staying very wet. Loose sphagnum works well for them, and keeping it wet works well for them.
