Stelis argentata, watering frequency

Hi,
I recently got a stelis argentata and was wondering how often I should be watering. I've been watering when it is still ever so slightly moist or about every 5 or so days as this is what I've found online, but recently a few buds dropped and I'm pretty sure its related to the watering. Would love to hear what others with a bit more knowledge think.
