What are these new growth spots on my Dendrobium kingianum? I was planning on moving the plant into the garage to get a little cooler, but if these are flower spikes I may as well just leave it where it is.
They're potential spikes [or keikis, depends on your culture]; if you withhold water and let them get cool at night [ie low 50s-low 40s; or chuck them in the Cymbidium/Alpine house], they usually push spikes late January-February. Give them water & fert and keep them warmer, you'll get keikis.
