Hello,
I have had a catasetum planted in the pet method for some time now. It has always had some algae on the moss at the top, but now it is surrounding the roots. I know this is common in a high light, high moisture, and nutrient rich environment, but I am worried it might begin to harm the roots. How can I mitigate it/get rid of it without harming my plant?
Thank you for all of your time and help

Also, I am not sure whether my catasetum flower before or after dormancy, so how/when should I go about inducing dormancy? It still has active root growth and all of its leaves.
