That is exactly where I got it.. The lack of an actual varietal name was bothering me some, but since it was a "It's almost 10 at night, I just had a really good dinner out with my girlfriends, I want an orchid damnit!" purchase.. . My options were limited. Weggies was pretty much it.. (proving that unplanned purchases do not need alcohol involved)

As for the grower, I am not certain, but I suspect that it is the guy who owns the local orchid store (which is rather annoying, the one time I called over there with a question he was REALLY unhelpful, I was not intending on giving him any of my money)... I honestly don't know of anywhere else to get orchids locally though, so... Although I feel bad for the other growers, if they're not putting themselves out visibly, those of us who are new don't have a lot of options... I was watching Craigslist, the local newspaper etc. for a few days, and the only orchids I saw were the ones at Weggies, Lowes and the orchid store, which I think is the same guy who is supplying Weggies..

Oooh, you're right, that one DOES look like it, though this one has some faint yellow on the backside of the petals... Hmmm... It's a good starting point though!

GAH!

okay so this is kind of annoying, unfortunately that weekend I have another commitment on my time (I am part of a medieval re-enacting/recreation organization, and our local group is holding an event that weekend), so I can't make it.. *pout* (my mother in law is also in town, though that's something of an excuse to get out of the house.. lol)

HAHA any excuse would be a good one to abandon ship that weekend! Thats funny that you do the medieval re-enacting. I have a horse that I shoe for a fella that does that. He's big into the jousting (sp?)
