Thank you for this information and sharing your experience. I certainly have been very surprised at how quickly this plant seems to be going downhill. Very bummed. I am not sure if it came bad or if the trauma of shipping and being repotted as what did it. I am guessing all of these things. From the look of the plant I think it was a division taken off of a bigger plant when it was sent to me so
. I have killed plants in my time but nothing has gone downhill this fast. It’s not totally dead yet so I still am keeping my fingers crossed. If and when I need to try a new one I will try to buy it in person if possible to save some heartache.

I've bought 3 plants over the last couple years as it's one of my favorite orchids. But of those 3 only one has survived. Luckily that one is thriving, blooming on 2 spikes through most of the year and it's now grown a new bulb/leaf that has matured nicely. Sadly something chewed off the tip of the new spike that was growing from it. Hopefully either that spike get's a side shoot or the bulb can send up another.
Fingers crossed that by some miracle yours makes it.

I only received it a week ago. I probably was taking a gamble buying it from the place I did based on their reviews. I guess I was just hoping for the best. It wasn’t too expensive, so I think I am just going to chalk this up to a learning experience.
