the thought is to start expanding our collection into some catasetinae but are having a hard time finding plants. can anyone recommend a vendor that specializes, or at the very least, carries some selection of them? thanks for any suggestions!
Back when Regina Elsner retired, her stock was taken over by Asendorfer Orchideenzucht. She had a selection of Catasetum imported from SVO (I got my Cat from her), and I see that several are still available at Asendorfer. And if you like slippers, this is an excellent nursery to shop at!
The shipping costs are outrageous, but celandroni orchidee in Italy has a decent selection of Catasetinae as well. I was eyeing some of them when last drooling over their website (and then ordered from Nardotto e Capello instead).
I'm trying to think of more places I know of!
