Spring Water - non-Distilled - & Well Water - Application

I recently purchased two Novelty Phalaenopsis Orchids, one of them pretty pricey. So the seller raises her Orchids with water from her well. I do not have a clear answer of whether tap water will be okay in the future.

I emailed the seller to ask whether spring water (non-distilled) would be more suitable than tap water, for these plants used to well water. I haven't received an answer yet.

Would there be a downside to, or anything unsafe about using spring water (again, non-distilled) at this point? If I do use spring water, will these Orchids become accustomed, and have to have spring water exclusively from this point on?

I swear there’s a near-identical post somewhere on here in the not too distant past, about a similar situation. If memory serves, the end consensus was that unless it’s a highly sensitive cloud forest orchid (novelty phals aren’t), tap water will be just fine.

Ya hybrid phals should be OK with tap. The key is to run plenty of water through the media eaxh time you water. This gives it a chance to dissolve any salts etc. left In the media so they don't build up.

Cool, thank you. I do water very thoroughly, also cause I believe there are several benefits!

My question was a bit difficult to phrase. I get that tap water is okay. What I want to know is, which may sound silly, would there be any harm in using Spring water (non-distilled)? And also, incidentally, would there be any extra benefits at all to it? Even if not necessary...

Dissolved minerals are what gives spring water it’s good taste, and quite often, contains higher levels of dissolved solids than many municipal sources.

I see no benefit to using spring water on a couple of hybrid Phals. The main harm will be to your wallet. Save your money and buy another plant.
