Orchids to bloom in every season of the year
Hi everyone! I'm new to orchid board, and new to orchids in general! I started the hobby about a year and a half ago. I know at one point I read an article which gave ideas of combinations of orchid genera to buy to ensure you could have something always in bloom for each season. Unfortunately I can't seem to find it, no matter where I've looked and what keywords I've used!
Idk if anyone on here remembers seeing any such articles somewhere on the web, but nevertheless, if you have any ideas of what combinations of easy to grow orchids to buy for each season, please share!
I've acquired an array of different genera, and joined 2 local orcgid clubs (mainly because I heard it was a good way to get cheap orchids lol). But unfortunately whenever something blooms there's usually a long stretch of many weeks where I don't have any pretty blooms to look at.
Currently I have mainly these types:
Phaleonopsis
Cattleya
Vanda
Vanda falcata (aka neofinetia)
Oncidium
Zygopetulum
Dendrobium (mainly kingianum and other Aussie hydrid types)
Sarcochilus
Tolumnia
^most of my orchids I haven't gotten to bloom yet. That's partly probably inexperience, but also many of them were seedlings or NBS when I bought them.
