How do you water it? From above?

I soaked it for 15-20 minutes then let drain. I always check to be sure the crown is nice and dry after. Although it is outside and may have gotten some water in it from the rain, even though it is in a covered area. You know how the rain can blow in Florida thunderstorms.

I think unfortunately it's already dead from crown rot. Has it received a lot of rain? I would use a much smaller pot and extra large bark for Phals in Florida, and I would pot them so the plant leans sideways, and the crown always drains.

Is there any hope by repotting or other options? It is a NoID, but I still really like it.

You can try repotting. Put a few drops of hydrogen peroxide in the crown first, and let it bubble. When repotting leaves are likely to fall off. When bare-root put more peroxide into the crown. Repot sideways.

In the photo I see a plastic pot in which are bark and orchid roots. I don't see an outer pot.

Should I leave the blooms that are still on the plant or remove them? Never mind - I cut the stalks because they looked bad.

What about cinnamon? I have heard pros & cons.

I figured if it has a chance at all it needs to work on the roots and crown right now.

Sorry for all the questions.

All you can do is clean it up, repot and hope. Leave the roots alone. The problem is in the crown.

For future reference, the benefits of powdered cinnamon is primarily as a drying agent. The evidence supporting the fungicidal effects is weak to nill for the powdered form. It is really really good at drying out tissue, so keep it away from roots.
