Some context, this orchid was purchase couple weeks ago, got it for $5. When I started to remove the medium from the potted orchid, the roots were rotted and dying, Lost about 90% of the root system. I ended up doing hydroponic method without medium and left water just at the tip of the stem. I leave it soaking for a day, and then air dry for the next 4 days and repeat the process until new growth. I plan on transitioning this orchid to bark medium, with coco and other material.
