Basal Orchid Question

I generally don't think of basal growths as "babies." Its basically just a way that the plant can get bigger. If you see a very old phal it will have several heads all attached. They will also eventually grow their own roots so you could 'divide' the plant or you can let it get huge.

Keikis are more like babies although they can also be left attached indefinitely
