(Cattleya) Laelia purpurata blooms

12th day and going strong. First time blooms from seedling after 3 years. I have kept it out of direct sunlight (although that might mess up the new growths but hey, a bird in hand ...). Also, I have watered it more than usual and mostly put it outside on the balcony for the night. I think the key to longer lasting blooms is cooler temperatures and sufficient watering.
