I'm terrified of HPS. I had one explode in the basement when I wasn't home. It showered my plants with superheated glass, burning them. Fortunately nothing flammable was nearby. Getting water spray on the lamp from a spray bottle or misting system will do the same. And if you touch the lamp you get an instant 3rd degree burn before you even register it's hot.

Totally understand. I'm using HPS because I have some....other....plants in there that need it. But honestly it's getting pretty crowded in there so I may end up doing a different tent just for the orchids. If so I will do LED panels. Thanks for all the help
