Mother's Day Gift - Phal with bad leaves. Return it??

Well, my husband got me a nice looking Mother's Day gift, but was in a rush and didn't look at the back. He said he's fine with me returning it, but I thought I’d ask first - what is this?? If it is cold damage, I'll keep it. It is lovely frim the front after all...

I asked Mrs. Dusty if she wanted me to get her an orchid for Mothers Day. Her response was: NO!

Thank you all for the feedback. My husband felt bad that he didn't notice the damage, and even though it probably is from the cold, he said he'd rather not have me worrying about if it was something this would spread to my other plants or me being upset if it dies so he took it back. Another few points for him: he said he looked at the roots first and they looked good, so he's learning! He does complain about my orchids, but he also buys me a fair percentage of them
