howdy. it was intersting to see your pics, cause we noticed in one batch of seedlings we have the same sort of extended leaf bases, so much so that the stem has a zig zagged appearance. tried to look up some common ancestors to your plant, but those complex hybrids are so...well, complex.
a few names kept popping up like sogo, but phal amabalis seems like the most shared species ancestor between our plants. the hybrid of ours is tying shin phoenix x brother pico sweetheart.
wonder if anyone has seen an amabalis that diplays this sort of growth habit??
otherwise your plant seems happy, tho!
Phalaenopsis Sogo Yukidian
Phalaenopsis Tying Shin Phoenix
Phalaenopsis Brother Pico Sweetheart
according to orchid roots, yours has 40% amabilis heritage, and our has almost 39% combined between the 2 parents (even tho i know it doesn't really work that way)
thanks orchid roots! (scroll to the bottom to see ancestry if you haven't used it before)
