All I can tell it looks like a Phal. I ran the tag Google wise (pics below) and came up with nothing, anyone here do me any better. This one was grown locally (pic below).

Dtps. is short for Doritaenopsis, a hybrid made from crossing Doritis with a Phal. Doritis has since been reclassified as part of Phalaenopsis. Due to the way orchids are named and registered, when Dtps. was combined with Phals. some had to keep the Dtps. because there was already a phal with the same name.

This means your plant is a phalaenopsis.

Your last line I figured it has the look/characteristics like a Phal but when running the tag word for word it came back nothing. Oh well I guess trying to trace/track down Hybrids is a wast of time.
Thanks for the little bit more info on this one.

Try Phal. Ox Gold Monkey. A very large Phal. producer in Asia uses "Ox" as part of their names.

I tried looking up Phal. Ox Gold Monkey but nothing came up. It could be that the producer named the cross but hasn’t gotten around to registering it yet.

OX ORCHIDS NURSERY CO., LTD. is in Taiwan. I couldn't find a Web site but I found their telephone. I noticed many of their Phals are named Phal. Golden Xxxxxxx where Xxxxxxx could be anything.

Could be that it's not registered yet. When I looked up OX crosses in Orchid Roots, that nursery has a huge list of crosses, but no Gold Monkey! (yet).
