Orchids with COOL LEAVES
Hi all!
i am currently in love with cool looking orchids, which are beautiful even without flowers. for example, phal schilleriana, phal phillipinensis, many paphiopedilums have absolutely GORGEOUS leaves. could you please reccomend any more such orchids?
leaves with patterns, or the shape of the leaves, or even the size [ I got a schoenorchis scolopendria, and it is so smol!!!! and cute lol] are what i want.
thanks!

These are native here in the Eastern US, but other members of the genus are tropical and available in the trade. Downy rattlesnake plantain, Goodyera pubescens

Sarcoglottis sceptrodes and similar "painted leaf" orchids. Stenorrhyncos speciosum. The hybrid Stenosarcos Vanguard.
Dendrobium anceps (and relatives)

Try Ludisia discolor.
Very dark velvety green leaves, with copper-colored veins that sparkle in the sunlight. This is a very easy-to-grow tropical jewel orchid, mature plants bloom reliably in mid to late winter.

Well, a lot of Paphs have gorgeous leaves so I'll recommend them. For example Paph. wardii, Paph. venstum, Paph. purpuratum, Paph delenatii etc. etc.
Other than that I really like Macodes petola, but they are grown for their leaves and not their flowers though.
