2 weeks on now. this should help you all narrow down your guess! and, to secure some tiny amount of crediblity for this fiasco, we are putting a closing date on guesses!

sometimes i just want to throw my hands up and proclaim to anyone who will listen that LIFE ISNT FaIR!! fuerta knows what i mean, i heard him screaming all the way from here last week, but now all i can hear are his sobs of defeat and regret that folks make rules that they don't follow. sheesh, the nerve of some people....

but, we secretly want to wish plumcrazy and clawhammer the best of luck in this round, as we know that that if they lose they will go crazy and take a hammer to their drooping orchid collections. we really don't want to see that....or do we????! only the bear king knows

for all of you out there on pins n needless for this latest round of bet your bloom time, a small development that may seal the deal for some of our poor, unlucky contestants.

most likely on the chopping block is....PlumCrazy with a guess of Aug 16. well, crazier things have happened. And the newcomer, Mutant, showed boldness by even hazarding a guess, while the rest of you cowered in fear at the overwhelming scariness that is the public court of the internet.

the remaining 3 contestants are stacking up closely around the beginning of july! will they spread the field???!!! will mutant take it all with a spot on safety guess?!

oh, and btw, we are leaving on vacation and thus this plant will be in the hands of a caretaker when, with any justice in the universe, it finally blooms! but fear not!!!! you will find out who stole the prize....

and that new leaf is bangin!!!!!

hahaha, well, it's the girls momma, and she is bringing a couple friends with her! and they are all spanish mommacitas! so, you know, just saying (you will all speak the same language).

i have made up a watering and orchid care insturction sheet with her, complete with specific instructions for this plant to send us a photo the day it opens. but now that i'm thinking of it, i gotta tell her to get the news paper so it is officially official!

hello orchid board!!!

just tuning in to provide one last final update before the final update. as we are preparing to abandon all hope and our orchids for the short foreseeable future, we wanted to give you a taste of defeat that most of our contestants will have in the coming days.

the bear king decrees: all who did not vote are hopeless neerdowells. all who did vote have too much time on their hands and should be pressed into indentured servitude. we (the amazing orchid killing duo of tmoney and company) are of course to be elevated to the kings court and are to be lavished with praise and orchid petals. we will be waiting....much like we know you all are!!!!

so, until our next post which will be made from far beyond the castle walls, the king says, "godspeed, and may all of your dreams be filled with aphids and false spider mites. now be gone with you!!! "
