I think the easiest house Dendrobiums are the Latourias, but you can't let them dry out.

Hybrids tend to be easier to grow than species (which may have very specific environmental conditions they've adapted to in their natural habitat). Think hybrid = mutt. They tend to be tougher.

I think Den. nobile hybrids are on the easy end for growing. I also think aussie dendrobium hybrids (Sunset Valley Orchids and Santa Barbara Orchid Estate has many) and latouria dendrobium (Den. Microchip, Den. Fire Wings, etc... HR Nurseries has lots) hybrids are easy to grow. There are compact varieties but some can get huge... so definitely check up on the lineage of the hybrids. Orchidroots.com is a great source to check the hybrid's composition.

Onc. Twinkles are "fits on your hand" small. The individual flowers are tiny but they bloom in great numbers.

Hausermann has Den. Royal Chip. Maybe this might be a good one, since it's Latouria hybrid with Micro Chip in it. I will see what else they may have by the time I am ready to order

That might be a good one! Both parents are nice plants. Although this one may not be "tiny" probably a compact but medium-tall plant.

These like to be kept warm and not dry out completely.

Got it. Thank you for the tips on where to find different kinds of orchids! It seems like different nurseries have different types and sizes they sort of specialize or excel in. And I will check out Orchidroots.com! So much research to be done. It's like I'm back in school hahaha.

Adding it in my WISHLIST!!! I can handle medium-tall. As long as they are not like, 4 feet tall.

H&R Nurseries is supposed to have their spring price list up on the website later this week.
BTW, forgot to mention that in addition to the mottling the foliage of Jiaho also has a slight purplish hue.

I'm definitely getting the Jiaho. Everyone seems to recommend it! So it's a no brainer.

H&R Nurseries is in Hawaii right? Wouldn't shipping take a long time? I noticed Hawaiian nurseries have Onc. Twinkle as well. Can't seem to find them anywhere else so far (other than Etsy). Hmmm. I'll have to look into that list of Orchid Nurseries!!!
