At first I thought it was a keiki but now it looks like a stem and in my research I came across a terminal stem but this isn’t at all close to the crown. It’s coming up out of the roots not close to leaves or crown. What is it and what do I do with it? Thank you all.

Is this a Phalaenopsis? It might yet turn into a keiki.

Looks to me like a flower stem which is growing a small leaf at the node. It may just turn into a keiki. I would just leave it alone untill you know exactly what the plant is up to!

Now that we can see what the new growth looks like, maybe a more all-encompassing photo would let us give you a better idea of what it could be. At this point, though, it doesn't seem to be hurting anything. Just let it grow and see what it developes into.
