My big mistake...buying orchids in autumn or too late in the spring. They will need re-potted in my environment but there is a optimal time to do that....

I agree with the other stuff mentioned. It is best to do the research and match the infliction with the right cure. With more and more insect resistance, the pesticides recommended do change and one needs to keep up with the studies.
