Aerangis calantha Care

Hello everyone!

I bought this mini orchid, Aerangis calantha two weeks ago and I’m wondering if I’m taking care of it well or not. It’s mounted on a cork and is placed in the middle part of my Ikea Greenhouse terrarium; the orchid receives around 1,000-2000 lux and humidity range of 60-90%. Four mini terrarium fans help the air circulate in the terrarium and I open the door at least once a day. The temperature range is 18 to 21C.

Watering occurs every day and I spray a very weak fertiliser (1/4 of the recommended amount). The water I use is distilled water, which has the pH of 7.45 something.

I really appreciate your suggestions and tips regarding this orchid!

Hi Jan welcome to the orchidboard.

I don't grow this one so can't help more than that care guide. All sounds ok to me.
Where it grows would suggest it probably likes a bigger temp drop at night than a phal for example. I doubt a 3 degree drop at night is enough for this one growing over 1000m above sea level. Temps drop more at night the closer you get to the clouds.

I'd increase the temps a little, maybe 24 -18
