Moving orchids

I have seen here that moving orchids could cause some issues. As preamble let me state that we have had some quite cool temps here off and on, dipping 8nto the high30s and low 40s. As of tomorrow we are in for a week of mid to high 70s with mid 60s at night. Will it hurt my catts, phals, and onc to move them back outside for the warm weather?

Moving them shouldn't be a problem. However, any plants that are spiking might get confused and send out wonky flowers if the orientation of the sun changes. I'd mark the pot of spiking plants with your preferred cardinal direction so that you can reorient your plant in the same direction when they get moved. I hope this makes sense!

I do that with some of my plants. I think they like it.

Thanks guys. During the recent warm week they went outside for brighter light. Then the temps dropped for a week so they came back in. The catts seemed to respond well to the direct, filtered light, but due to the low angle of the sun, I had a hard time keeping the shade lovers out of direct light. I think I've got that covered. And thanks for the reminder of light direction. Both phals are spiking, but at this point they're just nubs about a quarter inch long.
