Sorry...no suggestions. I buy from Ecuagenera, mostly. I like the service and great plants they deliver.

Not really holidays, but I ordered two weird Draculas - chestertonii and saulii, from Peruflora for delivery in January when they come to Tamiami. I am, of course, totally out of space, but they're small.

Another "No Room" reply here. In fact, I'm trying to downsize my collection. Our society resumed in-person meetings last month (not sure how long that will last), and I took four to donate to the raffle table. I'm hoping to take about that same number to the January meeting.
I'm very happy for all of you who are able to look forward to new orchids, though!

Every November, we get a holiday orchid with our membership and this year, I got one that I really have been wanting...Oncidium Tsiku Marguerite. It was in spike when I got it and, now that the flowers have opened, they really smell nice. Even my daughter likes it.
Last year, I bought a Phaius for Christmas but this year, I bought new air plants. If there had been a different Phaius available in spike, I would have gotten that instead. A large Phaius is quite a magnificent orchid to unwrap.

unfortunately, no new orchids for us but santa has been very generous to both of us this year, so no complaints. and really, he would need to bring us a new room before he could bring any plants....
reminder if ordering in a cold place: request heat packs!!

Well I thought I would order something before it gets too cold (today officially cold kicking in)
I try out a new seller who has always been on my "uses bleach to water his plants by the looks of it" list but he has something I want and it looks half way alive on the picture.
Not cheap though.
Ok fine, les buy it, it's protected by Ebay.
So I wait.... and I wait and I wait some more. Well guess what it isn't arriving anymore. Ebay will refund me. Don't really care where this package is now.
I susected there would be an issue based on his reviews but I figured I'd be protected by Ebay.
It just boggles me.... He obviously hasn't cared that tha orchid arrives ok. He doesn't seem to care whether the orchid survives or not. I mean that is the difference between some sellers.
The ones just make sure it gets sent out and seem to always have a few review issues. Always blaming the buyer when his sale has a problem...
Then you have the other shops that make sure it actually arrives alive...
