Ludisia Discolor growing media? Repot?
Default Ludisia Discolor growing media? Repot?

Do you think I should re-pot?

I've just been given a recently-propagated ludisia discolor (jewel orchid). The plant is small, about 5" high with 4 leaves that are about 1.5" long and ¾" wide. (4 cm x 2 cm)

I've read online that this orchid should be grown in soil. However, it is currently growing in 100% sphagnum moss. The moss is loosely packed. I have read that jewel orchids like warmth and humidity, but I'm wondering if 100% sphagnum is maybe too much moisture. Should I repot into african violet mix (which I've seen suggested online), or a mix of soil and sphagnum? Or just leave it as is.
