Orchids starting new growths heading into winter
Just wondering what everyone does when heading into winter, but their orchids are starting new growths?
Temps are getting into 40s/50s (night) here, so I’ve cut back watering and fertilizing. However, I do have a few orchids that are just starting to produce new growths.
Off the top of my head, my Encyclia Rioclarense, Dendrobium Spectabile, Prothechea Cochleata, Stanhopea Connata, and a NOID oncidium are all doing this. I have a grow tent and lights that I could put them in to create conditions more hospitable for growth. Should I keep them warm and continue fertilizing or just leave them be and give winter care?
