Orchids starting new growths heading into winter Female

Remember, all orchids don't come from (or have ancestors that come from) areas where winter is cool/dry. That's typical at higher latitudes. Some from semi-tropical latitudes at low elevations may get less rain but not necessarily cold. Those from lower elevations at near-equatorial latitude don't experience "winter" or in many cases, much seasonal difference at all. So if they are growing, treat accordingly, water and fertilizer are completely appropriate. Different orchids have different growth patterns and different needs.
