This is my oncidium in a healthy looking state after flowering phase. I noticed these dots against a bright light source on foliages today. No surface bumps observed but only black dots on the front side. Could you tell me what they are?

Oncidiums get a lot of spots when grown in lower-humidity homes. This doesn't affect growth, nor flowering. I wouldn't worry about them unless they increase rapidly in number and leaf coverage.

Thank goodness! I was so worried about an infectious agent. Thank you for your reply!
