Brassavola problem with purple leaves.

It started couple weeks ago after i hanged them outdoor, under 50% sun shade mesh. They’re doing good after first week and then some leaves have random shape purple spots/areas, especially on the sun direction. I thought they got sunburn but then alot of leaves’re still fine. These orchids still put out new grownths, now the purple leaves’re turning red and yellow. Any idea would be appreciated. I’m just a beginner even after more than 5 years growing other types of orchid lol.

Those purple spots happen with high light. In your plant's case it's into the damaging range. I suggest a little more shade.

I'd like to add a bit to ES's answer. The purple spots indicate high light (which is good) for Brassavola. However, you may have moved your plant too quickly into high light for it to adapt, which is why the plant might be getting a bit damaged.

Think of this Brassavola as a pale skinned friend. It can take high light, but needs time to build up the appropriate pigment to prevent burn. Pushing your friend into bright sun can harm them, but letting them acclimate to increasingly bright conditions is likely to be less harmful. Going into winter is a great time to acclimate plants since the sun is getting weaker as we approach the winter solstice.

Many thanks for helping me out. I did place them under the patio shade which is a little less sunlight in a week for adaptation before moving them under 50% shade mesh. However we didn’t have much sunlight in that week because of the storm and i think a week for adaptation might not be enough.
The oldest pot is having some big buds, i think they’re gonna bloom in the next couple days ☺️
