Yeah, I may do that. Although, right now it's in a carousel pot. While I do like this particular pot, I'm having to water it every two days as opposed to once weekly. Which I don't mind, of course ... just a pretty big difference to what I was doing. Do you think having it in the carousel pot and having that inside of a clay pot will further dry out the roots more quickly than it is doing right now?

The double potting actually may slow down the drying out. You'll just have to see. Actually, needing more frequent watering may be more work for you, but likely it is better for the plant - I worry that if a medium is so water-retentive that it only needs watering once a week, that's staying too wet. But that's me... A lot of contributors to the Board use the semi-hydroponic approach (do read through that sub-forum, lots of good ideas) - it helps to maintain humidity around the plant while needing less frequent attention.
