I'm pretty sure that the county has to test wells periodically, to ensure that the water meets state and federal standards. What components they test for, don't know. But I'll bet there is a report someplace. How often? Don't know, probably less than municipal water supplies. But worth finding out.
I recommend that you NOT feed as infrequently as once a month. An orchid gets fed a minute amount of nutrition every time it rains, which can be several times a day.
I believe the best culture is whatever mimics nature the closest, and while we cannot do so perfectly, the closer the better. Personally, I try to stretch that out to no more than weekly, but even every two weeks is OK.
Imokira, try checking with the well owner to see if they have a water quality report. If you are the well owner, recommendation here is to have a water analysis done every three years, looking for pollutants and contaminants.
Any private well should be tested, this is for your safety, not only the plants.
