Hi guys!
This little guy has been keeping me on my toes lately. Recently found it has springtails which I was told was not harmful to the plant (yay) I watered my orchid yesterday since it was watering day and I noticed these markings on the bottom leaves are appearing more. (it came with one when I first brought it home) Also I circled on the base of the orchid, it has one big white mark (almost like a scab), tiny white marks, and it has some light brown spots that have appeared. I attached pictures back from March 31st to show the difference on what it looked like back then versus now. I've tried googling, and looking on here but I can't seem to find anything on it. Is this some type of disease or is just normal scratches from handling?
I looked for pest all over the leaves, top and bottom, with a magnifying glass and I couldn't see any mites, or mealy bugs (there's no webbing, no cotton like substance anywhere) The only bugs I've seen recently are springtails. I just want to make sure these markings don't mean it can be another issue I'm not familiar with. The orchid hasn't been giving me any other signs of stress that I know of, it has produced a new leaf and now has another tiny one coming out. I hope I'm just being paranoid and everything is fine.
Thank you to anyone who replies!!
