well, HI!
my baby is becoming big as that monster plant movie!


i replanted a while back. i think i put more sphagnum and why is some green?!

i was hoping to water less often. that’s true.
before it complete rinse through every 3 days.
…and seems it would almost take food every time! no, but a lot! …and i used the weight method also.

now this pot … meh… seems air through the previous smaller one was much better.

all part of taking longer to water, i guess.
i haven’t quite figured out how long yet but it seems more like 4 to 6 days maybe longer i’m not sure yet.

i’ll hopefully err on the dry side.

you can see i made a few holes in the middle of the bottom with my soldering iron i may yet make a few more.

i’m wondering what its cycling schedule will be like, seems slower, but idk. it’s growning up fast!

ps: will low leaf die every year? mine look good, just asking.

Most Phals grown in a home carry 3-6 leaves. The more the humidity, the more leaves they carry.

also, this time i got a decorative pot container.
but i just don’t think it breathes enough. it has a hole in the bottom but that’s mostly covered by a glued on saucer-plate.

i used it at first, but soon removed.

even the clear plastic water saucer (not needed much because i manually tip rotate tip, etc, and drain well), but even that i turned upside down. i just don’t like bottom airflow that hindered, seems to me. ???

most of the time it’s probably 65-70 in here. i like ac, i operate it manually and leave it max cold all sleeping night.
