Why no scent? C Hawaiian Wedding Song 'The Virgin'
I purchased a 6 inch potted C Hawaiian Wedding Song 'The Virgin' in March from Hausserman. It arrived very healthy but the plastic pot was cracked. Instead of simply repotting it I decided to also divide it.
I used the same medium (bark with a little charcoal & moss) but planted one in terra-cotta and the other in clear plastic just to see if it made any difference. The divisions were about equal in size & both have done very well.
Buds developed on both (1 single/ 1 double) and last week they finally flowered! All blooms are beautiful but none have any scent.
Anyone know why no scent?

Never seen C. Hawaiian Wedding Song 'The Virgin'. I have seen (and grown) C. Hawaiian Wedding Song 'Virgin', however. It is a bifoliate, and has a limited scent, but it is detectable.

Give it a few days? Catts with scent generally smell best with sun shining on them, high humidity and warm temperatures.

My typo error; you are correct that the name is C. Hawaiian Wedding Song 'Virgin.'
Believe it or not I put one of them in my bedroom last night and I woke in the middle of the night to a wonderful "wave of scent" (I promise I'm not making this up) and wondered if I imagined it or if the orchid really gave off some scent.
When I woke this morning I immediately smelled the flower and, while faint, was exactly the same as the blast during the night.
As a beginner in orchid growing I think I've learned a valuable lesson; patience.

Here's another lesson for you..
The orchid by that name I got from Hausermann's, didn't look like it..Yes, it was a white catt, but not the shape nor size nor compactness it should have been. So, I just gave it away and got one from a different source. It looks right.

Did you contact Hausermann's and explain the issue? I think they try to correct mistakes.

Naw. I just took the hit as a lesson learned and moved on. With their reputation and inventory, i didn't think it was worth the time nor effort. I did find a worthy replacement elsewhere, so I'm happy.
