Here are some images taken of the phalaenopsis orchid. Sorry if you cannot see the ruler too well, I only have a clear one. It’s about 6.5 inches across its leaves in length.

"Miniature" is in the eye of the beholder. This would probably qualify.

Yeah, I don't know that there are any hard and fast rules, but six inches or so across could be called a miniature. Don't expect it to stay that way, though.
