Maybe... I might have tried to plant the stem lower in the medium. How many roots does it have buried in the medium?

It could stay like that for a while, or you could repot. If you repot you could soak the whole plant in water for a few hours so the roots are softer. Then you might be able gently to coil them into the container.

i guess i’ll keep it like this for a while.
it was pretty much the same height in its old pot, though i didn’t try to match! oh, the picture of the roots are just laying over the pot, not being potted just yet.
