My orchid has lost its roots due to rot.
I am trying to revive it and help it regrow new ones in moss. Even though at first these tiny roots were
greener, now the colour has changed. The bigger root has a brown spot on it.
Am I doing something wrong? Maybe I dampen the moss too much or too often?
I usually moisten the moss in the morning and in the evening because it dries out very quickly.
Thanks!

Do you know how long the plant has been in that moss? It looks rather old to me. With the rapid drying you mentioned, it is possible that minerals from your water and any fertilizer or additives you may use have built up to the point of being toxic. (In my growing conditions, sphagnum needs to be replaced about every 6 months or so.)
I would recommend getting some nice, fresh potting medium of your choice , and following this procedure to recover the plant.
That makes sense! Lately we had a lot of hot days in a row and my plants were placed too close to the south facing window. The medium in some other pots would dry out quickly, too.
This specific one had a good growth progress till recently and that happened after a few incidents when the moss was all dry before I knew it.
The temperature is usually 65-82F,we also had to run our AC often.
I will pot the plant deeper as you suggested and keep it away from that window. Thank you!!

The moss was purchased last month. Maybe I should have replaced that portion with some unused moss that's still in a bag instead of moistening the same piece everyday. And we do have a hard water.
Thank you for the link about the procedure!
