Lepanthopsis astrophora question, In or Out?
Default Lepanthopsis astrophora question, In or Out?

Recently, I fashioned a terrarium from an old 10 G SeaClear aquarium. I have been growing cooler growing mounted minis with success. I do have Lepanthopsis astrophora living inside it's closed soup container sitting in the terrarium. It is blooming nicely. Question, do you think it is safe to "set it free" in the tank? Humidity on the tank ranges from 84-92, temp. hovers around 70 F. I also have Lepanthes telipogoniflora living in plastic drink cups. I would hate to loose any of these plants, as they are so difficult to find.

Humidity should be fine at that level (84-90). I'd wait until finished blooming, take off the top to let it acclimate, then move to pot/place of choice. May have to water more, depending on substrate in pot as opposed to substrate in direct planted into terrarium. Could just cut your soup cup down to the substrate level.
