Okay, thanks for the clarification. I know some people who use primarily sphagnum moss have mentioned watering from the bottom and letting the moss take up the water, but yours is potted in primarily bark, which wouldn't work the same way, so I just wanted to be sure, but soaking the way you describe sounds fine. Follow Roberta's advice above about frequency of watering. With time, you'll learn just by the feel of the pot when it's ready for more water. Also, if you can see any of the roots at the sides of the plastic inner pot, when the color lightens to a silvery-gray instead of a light green, that's another indication.
