Saving a keiki with no roots from dying stem Male
Default

It's a race between making roots and drying out. The stem has a certain amount of water in it. The new plantlet transpires that water to the atmosphere. You can put it into some kind of enclosure to raise the ambient humidity, and keep it warm. This will reduce transpiration. Put some rooting hormone at the base of the plantlet. You can get KelpMax from First Rays or soke rooting gel from a nearby hydroponics shop.
