Default Pine resin for barks

I am starting a new business in growing Phalaenopsis and I need some advices concerning the bark.
As I understand the pine resin is not good for orchids, because of the resin but I don't know for certain so hopefully you can help me with that.
Thank you

If you are basing the business on plants from Taiwan, they will arrive potted in spaghnum moss. There would be no need to change that (plants can stay in that medium while they bud up, so they can be sold).

If you plan to grow seedlings from flask stage, I would again recommend using spaghnum, as it holds moisture longer than bark.

I will try to do both (plants and flasks). So you think that there is no need to put bark in a pot, only sphagnum? not even perlite ?

It depends. If your climate/the conditions in your greenhouse are warm all year with good ventilation, there will be no problem. But if your winter is cool and humid, the Sphagnum might become soggy and kill your roots. As a rule of thumb: cold + wet = plant is dead.

And if you decide to use bark, I highly recommend buying already prepared bark. Doing that yourself will be way too much work to keep up with.

Lastly, your customers might appreciate an orchid potted in bark. The watering in bark is more intuitive and you are less prone to overwater.

Edit: seedlings and young plants perform a lot better in Sphagnum

Welcome to the board!
It is not supposed to have resin in bark when properly prepared. I have never found any resin, not even residues.
