Those wild roots... actually, I'd wait until another set of new roots just starts, then gently coax into a suitable pot or basket... It's difficult to impossible to avoid at least some damage to those active root tips during repotting, so best to just wait until there are some more new ones coming along just in case...

My wife bought a gorgeous Pot. Eldorado 'Hawaii' a couple of years ago at Redlands that was mounted on a 9" x 9", 1" deep cedar basket or plaque with a nice 4 point hanger. It has done phenomenally well to the point that my summer project is going to get some cedar and build out 2-3 dozen of those and move all my smaller sized Catt varieties onto those.
It gets them out of the pots they don't really want to be in and makes more bench space available to new acquisitions!
